Web Designer & Developer focused on delivering intuitively useful interfaces through semantic, standards compliant XHTML & CSS and a splash of jQuery.

Knituition

Services Performed: Website Design, Website Development & Email Marketing.

Knituition began as a successful knitting blog with free patterns, and grew into a small company with the help of Ravelry. To help expand the business, Subjective custom-built a small eCommerce solution to reach a larger audience, and designed an email marketing campaign to promote it.

Beauty101

Services Performed: Website Design.

With no web site, and local competition that wasn’t taking full advantage of theirs, Beauty101 commissioned Subjective to build a solid foundation to help the business promote itself online.

Chartypes

Services Performed: Website Design & Website Development.

One of my favorite hobbies is to craft worlds and characters for various stories, but I’ve always had them in a mish-mash of journals and rarely collected them. When I finally decided to do that for one story, I found I had no place to put them that suited my tastes.

From there, Chartypes was born. I spent about a year, off and on, conceptualizing, designing and developing every corner of the website. Chartypes is now live, and has been lovingly hand-crafted with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, jQuery and semantic HTML & CSS.

CotterWeb Enterprises, Inc.

Services Performed: Website Design.

Though CotterWeb was a multi–million dollar company when I joined in 2006, I’m proud to say I helped them quadruple their member count and their revenue in my time there. Altogether, the company grow at such a rapid pace that it reached #618 on the Inc. 5000 in 2008.

InboxDollars

Services Performed: Website Design & Email Marketing.

InboxDollars is the premier brand of CotterWeb Enterprises, Inc., and a multi-million dollar web property. I maintained the look of the site, designed new pages, and built landing pages and emails to communicate with it’s members.

In 2008, I bustom-built an HTML & CSS framework that was the foundation of a rebranding effort encompassing both InboxDollars and SendEarnings. The framework is flexible enough to handle several unique sections of the site, and is easy to maintain because of its semantic class structure.

SendEarnings

Services Performed: Website Design, Email Marketing, SEO, & Resource Management.

SendEarnings was built from the same successful architecture as InboxDollars, and part of my responsibility was to converge the technological base of these two apps’ front-ends, thus creating a “CotterWeb Branded Interface” while keeping the two properties distinct.

Over time I also refreshed the logo, designed many emails and landing pages, and helped the site quadruple it’s member base from 500,000 to 2 million.
